Linak Pacific Adopts Skodel to Manage Psychosocial Safety

This case study shows how LINAK Pacific uses Skodel to:

  • Assess the wellbeing of their staff
  • Maintain an appropriate Psychosocial Risk Assessment
  • Consult staff without disruption

We are pleased to share that LINAK Australia & New Zealand (“LINAK Pacific”) has adopted Skodel to assess staff wellbeing and manage psychosocial hazards in their workplace. LINAK, known for their mission to improve lives through innovative products and solutions, recognises their staff must feel safe and supported to deliver on this mission.

Psychosocial hazards, such as unclear job expectations can impact staff productivity and safety. To ensure they are doing all they can to reduce or eliminate these risks, LINAK Pacific adopted Skodel.

Why LINAK Pacific Chose Skodel for Psychosocial Hazard Management

  • Ease of Use: Skodel simplifies the process of gathering detailed feedback from staff.
  • Clear Psychosocial Risk Assessment: Skodel converts feedback into a clear psychosocial risk assessment, see HERE

Patrick Ramsden – Managing Director LINAK Pacific

“Skodel makes getting feedback from our teams and creating a psychosocial risk assessment effortless. I was concerned about inadvertently creating issues that didn’t exist, but Skodel’s process helps navigate this, ensuring we get accurate signals, all clearly visualised in the risk assessment.”

Key Outcomes:

  • Up to date psychosocial risk assessment: LINAK Pacific now has a simple and non disruptive way to regularly consult staff with their feedback updating their psychosocial risk assessment.
  • Enhanced support for staff: Identifying areas of concern allows for targeted support and intervention.

Setup Process:

  • Align a check to key risks: Skodel worked with LINAK Pacific leadership to identify key areas of risk relevant to their workplace and aligned this to a 1 minute check
  • Send 1 minute check via Teams: The check was sent to staff via Microsoft Teams and email
  • Risk assessment is populated: Skodel’s risk calculator populated a psychosocial risk assessment with scores next to each hazard based on prevalence and subjective impact.

Sarah Bashford – Manager Human Resources LINAK Pacific

“Skodel has helped us enhance staff wellbeing and simplified the risk assessment process. We now have well-documented controls and an easy consultation process to keep our psychosocial risk assessment up to date.”

LINAK Pacific’s adoption of Skodel underscores their commitment to their staff’s safety. This step aligns with their broader mission of improving lives, ensuring their team can function at their best and continue making a positive impact through their products and services.
